If only more cars had the front passenger seat fold flat.

When you test drove that vehicle, one might say that you were serving the function of a vibe rater?

That plus the opening rear glass hatch! [my wife had a 2006 Matrix 5MT for 8 years]
If folding down the front seat & using that hatch, I could get an 8 ft folding ladder in there! I even moved a twin mattress once. It was deadly dull and slow, but super cheap to own and useful

Kind of makes me wish I bought a matrix instead of my Corolla. That is a lot of space in the back

My Ranchero’s front passenger seat folds down because it’s the middle row RH seat from a GMC Envoy. This would be completely pointless had I not also turned the back of the cab into a midgate.

Renault Twingo does have the passenger seat fold flat. Also rear engined.

That plastic load floor is pretty great too. Carpet is over rated.

My Lexus IS300 Sportcross has a fold down passenger seat as well. Makes for some interesting looks at the local Ikea/Home Depot.

My crappy Malibu Maxx has a fold-flat front seat. I once carried a 28' extension ladder in it. The hatch was open, obviously, but only like 4' stuck out the back.
I had no trouble carrying 2x8 sheets of plywood with the hatch closed.
